As I think about this blog, I am more and more convinced that I am doing this for my younger self. The young girl who had no worries in the world except when she was going to go play with Addie Lynn and Olivia. The young girl who loved playing with her American Girl Dolls and treating them with such love and care. The young girl who still believed in the magic of Santa who saw my mom waiting for us every Christmas morning, even more excited than us….
What Was I Made For? -Billie Eilish
What were you made for? A simple, yet seemingly impossible question to answer. Growing up, I had always wanted to be a dentist. Silly…right? I was convinced my whole childhood that I would be a dentist. Little 12 year old Carolyne was picturing the great pay, of course, and only working Monday through Thursday. It is funny how much our path changes over the course of our lifetime…and I only have 21 years of experience.
The “Firsts”
When I think of the word first, so many different things come to my mind. I think of my first house in Kelsey Glen, my first day of school, my first dog Rufus, my first friend Addie Lynn, my first bike ride, my first trip to Disney World, my first concert… I never thought a first could also mean my first anxiety attack.
Meet Carolyne
Growing up, I have always felt passionate about writing. I began with diaries at a young age and grew my writing abilities through my english classes. Writing essays were always my favorite assignment. Although I am not an english major, I am still very passionate about writing. I created this website to explore my creative writing and grow as a writer. I also am writing to share my experiences in hopes of helping others who may have gone, or are going, through the same thing.
