Rainbows, Sunshowers, and Everything in Between
About Me!
Hi! My name is Carolyne Shealy and I am a 21 year old, junior in college. You may be asking what this website is and why did I create it. That is a great question! You know how people say music is inspiring? Well… I felt inspired enough to create a whole website dedicated to writing about any and everything. I felt uber inspired while listening to Billy Eilish’s song, “What Was I made For.” Some may say I was in my feels, but her music led me to think of this idea to share basically my brain with y’all. This is like my diary…but not in a silly, spilling my secrets kind of way. I have so many things on my mind that I want to express and allow others to read and respond. I want to cultivate a community that feels safe, seen, and heard. But…if no one ever responds to me, that is okay too! As I’ve grown up, I have learned so many things, not only about the world, but about myself. I am here to share my experiences—both the highs and lows—how I overcame them, new things I have learned about life, and overall, I want to just share myself. I have always struggled opening up to people, but when I got to college and met my people, I have learned that I am capable of opening up even at my lowest of lows. My friends have been my rock and I had never had such a strong group of friends like them before coming to college. I always seemed to stick to my one best friend in high school. I of course had friends outside of her, but I never opened up to them the way I did to her and my friends now. I know the importance of being vulnerable to those you trust and who want what is truly best for you. So I figured…maybe if I am vulnerable and share my stories online, I can help others do the same. Maybe not through writing their stories on a website for all of the world to access, but I hope to help others feel seen and that they deserve to find people who make them the best version of themselves. I can confidently say that my friends have made me the absolute best version of myself. I of course have my family to thank too…but they deserve a whole book of their love, guidance, and how they are the best people in the entire world. So here we are. The end of my “biography” so to say. Grab a coffee or tea, relax, and take a dip into the whirlpool, and sometimes lazy river, that is my brain. Enjoy ;)
